Many new diesel trucks now include filter technology, more particularly, a device called diesel particulate filter otherwise known as DPF.the designers of the kit will guarantee the elimination of the soot of so called diesel particulate and drastically improve the color of the smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe. Because DPF traps the soot in the exhaust under process called regeneration, the soots are burned at very high temperature leaving you a clear exhaust. Among other things, the process introduces the concept ofback pressure, which is what happens when the spent gases in the exhaust are hampered by the tight bends in the piping or air vents for example. Eliminating the back pressure problem with DPF delete, thus freeing up the engine to work better, sends more power to the wheels, and allows it to burn less fuel. Some studies indicate a fuel efficiency rate of 4 to 7 mpg.

A standard DPF delete kit wouldusually include a DPF delete pipe, a touch screen programmer, aluminized or stainless exhaust and muffler, dual tailpiles catalytic converter delete pipe and standard tunes. The user can decide how much component from the kits he will buy, depending on how much improvements he wants on his diesel engine.

The law only allows DPF Delete Kits to be used in off-road diesel-engined vehicles because it interferes with emissions. Authorities said on-highway vehicles will be slapped a fine if they will be caught using DPF Delete kits in their vehicle.. Have the kit checked only by affiliated service crew to avoid the warranty on the exhaust stack, EGR and turbo from being voided by the manufacturer. According to some users, the trade off of losing warranty on their vehicle’s engine was worth the dramatic improvement it gave on their diesel engines.
